I agree with brasqueychutter here. When a site expires and the domain goes back to the hosting service, it should not cause the entire site's archive to be removed.

There needs to be a way for the system to detect such situations, where the domain is now a parked domain, whether it now redirects, or the content has changed drastically (beyond a certain threshold). I don't know how complex the system would have to be. I'm not sure whether this is possible for a crawler, though - it depends on just how authoritative a robots.txt file is. This is me trying to reason on 4 hours of sleep, of course.

Any other opinions or answers?
